{"id":2736,"date":"2023-05-19T13:14:08","date_gmt":"2023-05-19T17:14:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ohmci.org\/?p=2736"},"modified":"2023-05-19T13:14:08","modified_gmt":"2023-05-19T17:14:08","slug":"53rd-annual-main-event-at-piedmont-lake-june-10th-and-11th","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ohmci.org\/?p=2736","title":{"rendered":"53rd ANNUAL MAIN EVENT AT PIEDMONT LAKE JUNE 10th AND 11th"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s that time of the year again \u2013 a weekend of chasing giant muskies, gathering for a shore lunch and comradery, and the annual OHMC Grand Prize Raffle drawing!\u00a0 Our \u2018Main Event\u2019 will be held June 10<sup>th<\/sup> though June 11<sup>th<\/sup> on Piedmont Lake.\u00a0 This is a two-day event and will run from 5:30 AM Saturday through 2:00 PM Sunday.\u00a0 All fish must be turned in to the Tournament Director by 3:00 PM Sunday via text message (cell phone number provided the night before the event), or in person at the Reynolds Ramp parking lot.<\/p>\n<p>Scoring will be based on the points system with each fish 30\u201d or greater getting 4 points for the fish and additional points for every inch over 30\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0 For example, a 42.5\u201d fish would earn 4 points plus 12.5 points for a total of 16.5 points.\u00a0 The winner will be the highest total points for the weekend. First and second place will receive trophies at the 2024 banquet.<\/p>\n<p>Back by popular demand, OHMC will be hosting a shore lunch on Saturday at 1:00 PM.\u00a0 We plan to have hotdogs and hamburgers and welcome any side dishes.\u00a0 Drinks will not be provided.\u00a0\u00a0 When registering, please mark if you plan to attend the shore lunch and if you will have any guests to ensure OHMC provides enough food for everyone.\u00a0 Lunch will be provided at Reynolds Ramp but is subject to change.<\/p>\n<p>The entry fee will be $20 with a $5 big fish entry pool.\u00a0\u00a0 Proceeds of this event will help fund the OHMC\u2019s contribution to the Minnow Fund.<\/p>\n<p>Piedmont currently holds the state record.\u00a0 Will you land Ohio\u2019s next state record?\u00a0 Come join us for an awesome weekend of fishing and events to find out.\u00a0 We look forward to seeing you all there!<\/p>\n<p>You can register for the event 1 of 3 ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Register online at\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/OHMCMainEvent\">Register Here<\/a><\/li>\n<li>The online registration includes payment through PayPal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Via postal mail\n<ul>\n<li>OHMC, 17712 Edgewater, Lakewood, Ohio 44107.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>In person\n<ul>\n<li>Saturday morning from 4:30 am to 5:00 am at Reynolds Ramp.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once registered, you can launch from any public boat launch.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the rules for the event.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ohmci.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Main_Event_2023_Rules.pdf\">Main Event 2023 Rules<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>New for 2023 and going forward:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ALL fish must be photographed on a bump board.<\/li>\n<li>A to-be-determined identifier released the night before the start of the event must also be present in each photo. It will be found on our social media so be sure to follow us on Facebook (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/OHMCI?mibextid=LQQJ4d\">Ohio Huskie Muskie Club Inc<\/a>) and on Instagram (<a href=\"https:\/\/instagram.com\/ohiohuskiemuskieclub?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=\">@ohiohuskiemuskieclub<\/a>).The identifier must be printed off or handwritten.
