2026 Ice Breaker Event Saturday March 21st at Leesville

Now that we have finally broken free of a long Winter’s icy grip, it’s officially time to kick off our 2026 tournament season with the ICEBREAKER at Leesville!  Those Leesville lunkers will be nicely fattened up ahead of the Spring spawn and now is the perfect time to catch a truly monstrous muskie!  So come join us for the ICEBREAKER on Saturday, March 21st and see if you can put a true giant in the net while helping to raise money for the Minnow Fund.
This is a single day points tournament, (with an optional Big Fish side pot), which will run from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Saturday.  All catch entries must be photographed on a bump board with the assigned identifier code visible and turned in to the Tournament Director (TD) by 5:30 PM at the brand new parking lot at the main lake ramp, or via the TD cell phone number(s) that will be provided.  Any fish must measure at least 30″ to be submitted.  Scoring in this points system awards 4 points for a 30″ fish plus 1 point is awarded for each additional inch over 30″.  For example, a 42.5″ fish would earn 4 plus 12.5 points for a total of 16.5 points.  Only your 2 largest fish will count towards your final score, and the angler with the highest point total will be declared the winner.  Trophies and a Six 2 Noon lure will be awarded at our final check-in in the parking lot to our top 3 points earners.  The angler(s) who entered the Big Fish pool, and caught the longest muskie of the tournament, will receive the full amount of the side pot.
Once registered, you may launch from any public launch, but legal fishing does not begin until 7:30 AM and ends at 5:00 PM.  Event entry fee is $25 with a optional Big Fish entry of $10.  Junior registration is $15.

Minnow Fund results from Piedmont

We had 22 anglers test their luck on Piedmont lake in our 13th Annual Minnow Fund Event!  It was a tough day for most, with just five muskies being submitted by the field.  Some anglers reported moving plenty of fish, but bites were hard to come by.  Tyler Lynn was dialed in on this day, though, going two for four and submitting the only limit of the tournament!  Tyler’s two fish earned him 23.25 points and the first place trophy!  Ron Duskey landed the longest muskie of the tournament at 48.5″, which won him the $200 Big Fish pot. and the second place trophy!  Ronald Gutshall earned the third place trophy with a 46.5″ fish good for 20.5 points.  Congrats to our trophy winners, and a huge thanks to @six2noon for again donating some awesome bucktails to our tournament winners!

Tyler Lynn 38″, 37.25″, 23.25 points

Ron Duskey. 48.5″ Big Fish. 22.5 points

Ronald Gutshall. 46.5″. 20.5 points

Donald Gutshall. 40.25″. 14.25 points

Thank you to all who came out to fish with us while raising money to assist in the muskie stocking efforts in Ohio!  We will be adding the money raised from this event to our contribution to the state’s Minnow Fund!  Your continued support of Ohio Minnow Fund through donations and entering our tournaments is essential to maintaining our thriving muskie populations.  This was another fun outing , and we hope you will join in our next event, the BATTLE FOR OHIO online tournament, October 10th – 12th (more details coming this week)

Main Event Results from West Branch and Milton

We had 22 anglers come out for this year’s Main Event on West Branch and Milton.  The bite was not nearly as hot as the blazing sun this weekend, but six competitors managed to put a muskie on the board.  Alex Turner filled his three fish limit,  (44.75″, 43.5″ and 38.75″) and won first place with a score of 49 points!  Coming in second, with 19 points, and winning the $160 Big Fish Pot with his 45″ Huskie was Justin Lude!  Rick Thorp Jr. claimed his third trophy of the season with his 43.5″ Huskie worth 17.5 points and good for third place.  In addition to their trophies, the top three finishers also received brand new @six2noon bucktails.   Also submitting fish this weekend were:

Jake Miller 42″ 16 points

Jonathon Baer 39″. 13 points

John Proch. 30.75″ 4.75 points.

At our final check in we shared pizza and cold drinks before presenting trophies to our winners.  We held out 50/50 raffle and every tournament entrant who attended the check in took home a new muskie bait in our door prize raffle.  We wrapped things up with  drawing the winner of our Main Event Raffle and Devin Kopp was selected to receive our HUGE Prize package!!!  Congratulations Devin, and to our tournament winners, and all who put fish on the board.  With the Summer heat setting in, we will be taking a break from anymore muskie tournament until September, when we hope you’ll fish with us on September 20th for our Minnow Fund Event at Piedmont.
